Poor second half 21:50 - Jun 16 with 1567 views | Vic | Having defended them the first half this has been poor. I honestly think Town play better than this! So much going back to the keeper from midway in the opposition half, only for Pickford to kick long!

This. Very pedestrian, there was moment mid 1st half where the ball came to Walker near the center circle, he has acres of space, not a red shirt near him, he's tbe quickest man on the pitch, several England players further up the pitch and instead of running with it, he stops takes 2 steps and then taps a really easy closer ball to a team mate. Indictive of how we played, Bellingham great, Saka really good with little support and few people offering out balls. Boring, uninspired and devoid of ideas.

Poor second half on 22:02 - Jun 16 with 1470 views | davblue | I thought Kane played too deep in the last 25 minutes, we had no way out but we have to control the ball better, was poor with our ball retention and bravery on the ball.
Poor second half on 22:07 - Jun 16 with 1434 views | solemio | In the last ten European Championships before tonight England had only won their opening match in the tournament once according to the BBC commentator. Yes 1 out of 10. So tonight was a great improvement! I think Serbia deserve some credit; they played pretty well after the first half hour or so. Don't panic, Captain Mainwaring.
Poor second half on 22:07 - Jun 16 with 1430 views | Churchman | It was awful Vic. I know I’m on a post beer downer, but we just don’t play to our strengths. No energy, no control no anything much. Have what we hold. That’s all it was from min 15. Southgate? No idea. We have some brilliant players but they’re fighting against a system and a mindset, if you can call it that. When the big teams in Europe have finished laughing, they won’t be worrying about us. Maybe I’ve just got used to watching a team play with no fear and hitting the opposition with everything they can lay their hands on, albeit in the Championship.

We scored on 13! I didn’t like the 2nd half and won’t defend it, but I still think people are underplaying how well we played in the first 35 mins.

Probably because a game of football lasts more than 35 minutes. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

whoops, returned too quickly. Whereas Hirst keeps the back 2 honest by keeping a high line on them which allows the space for the 10s to operate, Kane tends to come deep takes the pressure off the back 4 who press up a bit and take the space away from the flair payers. Did it too much at Spurs as well.
