It brings back memories of my youth. My dad supported Liverpool. Lots of banter in our house whenever we played each other in the late 70s/early 80s, battling at the top of the league. Didn't have a lift this particular day so my Dad's work colleague to me on the train..... anyway came out of the ground ecstatic at the result and got to the station which obviously was overrun with scousers all of whom were understandable cheesed off!.... then some goon started a rumour of some incident in the aftermath of the goal which meant game was null and void and had to be replayed!!.... carnage as we got on our train and the entire journey to Diss I was unsure if I'd seen a win or not?... thankfully Dad's first remarks on picking us up restored order when he said something like.. you must be pleased! |  | | |
