Uninspiring, but professional. And a tad dull. We really have been spoilt here over the last couple of years. Shearer waxing lyrical over Kane’s goal, but Walker took ages to make the cutback, then hit it straight at their player and it took 2 lucky deflections to reach Kane. We’ve seen much better from Towen, regularly. A brilliant steal from Walker though - that bit was class.

This has been a very different performance from the one against Serbia. In that game, England started well, were dominant & deserved their goal. Today, we started poorly, got a lucky goal somewhat against the run of play & since then have degenerated to awful. |  |
