Our reputation for developing young players 11:50 - Jun 25 with 1480 views | whymark4lazio0 | might be about to pay dividends. Ben Johnson's motivation for seeking a move is "career development". Footballers know that if they come to Ipswich they'll be brilliantly coached and, if they work hard, they'll get their chances in the first team.

As important as any tactical nous and why McK is the most important signing of the summer... assuming he doesn't sod off at the last minute (sorry, but I am superstitous and chickens and hatching and all that).

I agree 24 isn't particularly young in age but having only played 100ish matches is young on experience. I think he's going to develop very well under Mckenna, WHU offering him a new 5 year deal shows he's a good player. Just seen he's the cousin of not only Paul Parker but also Ledley King! 2 good defenders in their day!
Our reputation for developing young players on 12:44 - Jun 25 with 1072 views | SheffordBlue | Think you could have taken the 'young' out of your post title and it would still be true - even our older players talk so positively about how McKenna has improved them as players that others must hear about it
