Cricket, bloody hell! 21:41 - Jul 3 with 1170 viewsPhilTWTD

Quite some match between Gloucestershire and Glamorgan. Glamorgan needed one run for a record run chase of 593.

....that save by the Turkiye keeper last night.

Great glovesmanship (or lackofglovesmanship in this case)

Some cracking last day action today.

Somerset chased down 400 odd.

Hampshire scored at 6 or so an over to beat Kent after tea.

Only downside was Essex losing to Surrey and practically conceding the title.

As a Somerset supporter for three quarters of a century I have to admit that Surrey are a cut above both Essex and my team.

Critics will always say that Surrey are financially doped in domestic cricket terms but their main contributors to this latest win were Patel, Smith and Lawes. All homegrown.

Watched some of that from my office window. Thought the train might save Essex at one point but missing a player to sickness set them back too far.

Poll: We recruit two strikers, one has to be Bonne or Wickham, who would you have?

They were more than a little fortunate that Essex essentially played with 10 men for most of the match after Jordan Cox was taken ill and were without Sam Cook as well.
