Does anyone else find this a bit weird?

He got into the first team due to an injury and very fair play to him he more than deserved to keep his place.

Hooever - where the hell does he think he can go to that is better than us?

Or.......Have we told him he will be demoted to understudy so he just wants first team football, and if that be in the Championship then so be it.

Hooever hooever - that means he is turning down an obscene Premiership wage????

Surely he doesn't think he can go to another Prem club as No 1 does he???

Confused!

One of the rumours was his agent wanted him to be one of the best payed players at the club.

Put yourself in his shoes. Signs for the club and is instantly replaced. Shunned and resists attempts to force him out. Grabs chance with both hands and is a near player of the year in a promotion team. Sees his manager get a 500% salary increase and probably most of his team mates get huge pay increases - let alone the startling money incomers snaffle. He’s 33 and will probably get a seven figure signing on fee if he goes somewhere like Celtic. Clearly he had an alternative which was closer to his own value of himself.

The only strange thing about it is Ipswich let it happen. It’s potentially disastrous.

Since when have this ownership come close to doing anything disastrous?

Unfortunately for Hlakdy he is 33. He wants one final payday. Richly deserved. It just wasn't to be with us.
