Looks like there will be a complete change of strategy with 3 central defenders and Bellingham and Foden both playing as number 10s, Saka at left back, Walker in central defence.

I hope so, I like the sound of that.. The 433 (or 42121 or whatever it is) hasn't been working. That should give us width and solidity as well as giving Foden and Bellingham more freedom.

Mr Southgate needs to start using codes in order to change this in play. It will make his options so much better if his team does it.

Pretty radical departure if it turns out to be correct. Just wonder if it means England will be unprepared.

Still they have not looked good with the approach they have prepared for so maybe no biggy.

I heard the same yesterday via my lad, who probably heard it from where you did. It makes sense for Saka, but not for Walker. Great time to start experimenting!

In fairness it's not far off how England were set up in the 2018 WC through to Euro 21, when we were looking half decent. The switch to 433 is fairly recent.
