Its mad the amount of stick Kane gets. As you say he's just scored 36 Bundesliga goals last season getting him the Golden shoe across Europe, plus 8 Champions league goals which was joint top with Mbappe, and is he's level for the golden boot at the Euros with 3 in 6.

I think people need to get real a little bit too and understand how football works at that level. We seem to have a lot of delusional fans that think we've got a god given right to be slapping sides. We've got a lot of good players, but we're not that good to merit such entitlement.
Don't get me wrong the performances haven't been great, but we need to remember they're all there off the back of long domestic campaigns (and European competitions for many), as well as tedious Euros qualifying. No rest, and straight in to international duty and a major tournament. There's no surprise the quality hasn't been great, and its not just from England. I don't think strong sides like Italy, Croatia, Germany, France, Belgium etc were any great shakes either to be honest. Spain are perhaps the only exception, but it took a 119th minute winner against Germany to avoid penalties and they weren't particularly threatening against France IMO. | | | |

You could add that a lot of the mystery and enjoyment has gone out of competitions like these as it’s basically club colleagues playing each other. Often in games where the main priority is not to lose. England players have to be brilliant in every game - pesky foreigners just once or twice in the competition. imagine if Foden was Spanish - the hype after his two startling efforts last night
