I’ve a hunch that the transfers in between now and the closing of the window will be our most ambitious so far. Not necessarily on a perm, but will give us the experience we need. They are always the hardest to complete and take the longest.
I’ve no doubt we’ve been talking with them for sometime. |  |

Blackburn in this remind me of the vendors of a house I was trying to buy about 11 years ago. They kept moving the goalposts - it was like trying to negotiate with a pair of toddlers while running over quicksand.
We did eventually agree on everything - I thought - until on the morning of exchanging contracts, they decided to up the price by £70,000 (yes, seventy thousand quid). My solicitor, who’d been working 50 years in the industry, was utterly shocked & said he’d never seen anything like it. I walked away, found a much nicer house (which I’m still very happy in) - and the rat vendors, who’d been all packed up ready to go on the assumption I’d give in, then didn’t sell theirs for another 2 years 😂 |  |
