I don't get the queuing system 10:09 - Aug 12 with 5343 views | GavTWTD | On my laptop I joined the queue at 9:30. I had about 430 people ahead of me. Just before 10am I thought I'd try with my mobile too. It almost went straight in after the bar slid all the way to the right. It took another 7 minutes for the laptop to get entry. I've got my ticket for Fulham. Happy days.

I don't get the queuing system on 11:05 - Aug 12 by GavTWTD | Yeah I wouldn't call.it a queue, more of a throttling device to.allow a certain number through so as not to kill the server. Now learned it's random so get those devices ready! |
It was explained somewhere by the club before they launched the new system. Step 1 if effectively a ballot. Between 9:30:00 and 9:59:59 you join a waiting room. There may be a queue to get onto the website during that time to load balance everyone visiting the ticketing website. That is NOT a position for ticket buying queue. At 10:00:00 everyone on the waiting room is allocated a position in the ticket buying queue by ballot - this is completely random, as you would expect with a ballot. This position in the queue is when you will be able to able to access the ticketing ordering page - after everyone before you been has been given access, and a chance to buy their ticket(s). After 10:00:00, anyone going to the ticketing website having NOT joined the ballot between 9:30 and 10 will be put at the end of the queue. It's a fairly easy to understand process. and I think very fair for a very over subscribed demand. The initial waiting room / ballot avoids the website cashing due to too many people arriving at the exact same moment, and there is nothing worse that crashing ticketing websites which completely randomise who gets tickets in a totally unfair way.
Swapsys? on 17:34 - Aug 12 with 911 views | Buhrer | Because of the random nature of desperately grabbing any ticket I managed to get one but its away from the other family STs. So I thought there might be a member also wanting to do a swaps for my one ticket in lower SAR row A for one ticket elsewhere ideally the West or an upper tier. PM to discuss this if you're interested.

Queued at 645 , 1282, 2823 & 3857 took 10 mins for the first to get to the front of the queue.
Queue placement does indeed seem to be random, although both the mobiles were higher up the queue. Edit: just to be clear I think multiple devices is a perfectly sensible strategy [Post edited 12 Aug 2024 18:32]

Of course you're going to take your favourite child. But which one is favourite? Will the children have to compete to win your heart? I can see a lot of crying, and who knows how your children will respond. |
Fortunately one is much more of a fan than the other. I still would have preferred to have gone as a family like we normally do, though.

So there's a downside to Premier League promotion after all. Town have become a victim of their own success. Increase the ground capacity and it still won't be enough. Perhaps your wife could get to know one of the players wives and try to get free tickets.
