Vas benched for Burnley on 20:48 - Aug 12 with 3224 views | Daninthecampo | Such a strange move, yes he may've wanted to be No 1 here but to leave us to be a No 2 in the league below!
Vas benched for Burnley on 20:50 - Aug 12 with 3168 views | Denny32 | Well he wanted a longer contract and that was, more important than testing himself against the best in the Premiership .so he was more interested in the future which you can't blame him..

Vas benched for Burnley on 21:31 - Aug 12 with 2724 views | Vegtablue | There is so much we don't know here. What contract did we offer? Many think he must have turned down PL wages, but our contract offer was made last winter. Did we improve terms or did we hold firm, knowing we would bring in a new #1 and had Walton in reserve? Burnley are likely one of the best payers in the Championship. He may well have received a signing bonus, longer contract and better salary offer than available here. Or he may have settled for a similar or slightly worse financial package. All we know is Vas was very disappointed and surprised by what we offered him. Then, did he join Burnley with the expectation he'd be their #1? If Trafford leaves this summer, with Prem clubs allegedly circling, you'd think he's in pole position unless Burnley sign another. If Burnley's intention is to keep Trafford, however, Vas would have joined knowing he was odds against to play. Trafford is their £15m signing after all, as well as England's top U21 keeper. I have a tonne of goodwill for Vas and hope there's no regret there too. Burnley must be favourites to bounce back at the first attempt, so there's a decent chance he'll still tick off warming a PL bench before his career's up.

Vas benched for Burnley on 21:47 - Aug 12 with 2435 views | Nutkins_Return | Strange take. Vaz wasn't going to be out number 1 and prioritised his future and giving himself at least a better chance of playing. It was for the best for both parties.

They do. Also, he would likely have been number 2 here. He will probably have the Burnley shirt by September.

Burnley pal says Trafford is dreadful. They played him because of the price tag. Muric was the number one for the promotion winning season, and when Traford was left out towards the end of the relegation season, results improved. Trafford looked dogy at times against Luton tonight, so probably only a matter of time before Vas gets a run in the team.

How is it a strange take? He was nailed on the bench #2 here. It's turned out he's #2 at Burnley. I genuinely hope he's managed to secure a good payday for himself, as his career to date hasn't had any real high paying contracts. If he hasn't got a decent deal, I genuinely feel for the bloke.
