I'm sorry to all that might be offended, but what is happening at Bournemouth is a travesty and sums up much that is wrong with the Premier League and today's game.
Bournemouth averaged 11,000 crowd last season, 11,000! The mere fact that they are relatively stable in the league, and able to spend so much on one player with so little gate receipt revenue, and support, is mad. At least we can reach 30,000.
And then you have Leeds, who could pull in four times as many supporters, selling their best players in the Championship.
Someone explain it to me.

What you spend on a player doesn't necessarily guarantee success or that the player either fits in or shows their potential. Several of the Town's players are one's that either showed excellent form in the Championship or are fringe players from the Premier league. I don't say it's hit and hope, but not all will be successful. Man Utd a few seasons ago paid 90 million for Pogba and look what a failure he was. Not for a minute saying the Bournemouth player will be a failure. At that sort of money for a small club is a massive amount. | | | |
