Just read that thread. Not sure how reliable any of thode posters are, going by the responses of others. Will see what happens but Ashton isn't stupid - he won't be pursuing a player who's said he doesn't want to come here. And hopefully he'll have a plan B drawn up anyway, if need be. |  |

Yeah, I agree. I'm hoping this is all defence mechanism stuff from their fans.
The fact they've started the season well is slightly annoying, as he may feel he's got a chance of leading Sunderland up this season if they maintain current form. |
I know no club wants to lose thier star player, but the Sunderland lot seem to be completely delusional about the fee and the interest. I wouldn’t read to much into what some random posters have said on a message board when respected journalists have said there’s bids and Stuart Watson has said it’s advanced. |  |

Yes given how seriously the EADT takes not misinforming their readership, while it is most definitely not a done deal, there will be advanced talks. Not to say a U-turn or collapse isn't possible. |  |
