Fulham Fans in the Dove 11:32 - Sep 2 with 2906 viewsBlueDouglas

Noticed a handful of Fulham shirts in the Dove before the game on Saturday. They were very polite and respectful and caused no bother at all, and none of the locals seemed to mind either but struck me that's the first time I've ever spotted any away fans in there.

They obviously have very good taste in pubs.

I watched two Fulham fans park up in the Starbucks car park near the ground. They didn't notice the sign that said they'd get a fine if they parked for more than 2 hours.

Maybe I should've said something..?

I go in the dove after most games and there are often a few away fans in there. Last couple of years in particular about 10 or so Plymouth fans have made their way there after the game, always seemed a good bunch. Not the type of pub to attract any sort of trouble making though, given it’s about a mile from the ground, and is a destination pub for ale drinkers rather than a sky sports pub selling pints of carlsberg and bottles of bud (other lagers are available)

The Dove is generally very welcoming to away fans, but wouldn't want to be known as an away pub, because there are a lot of home and non-football regulars. On the odd occasion, they have suggested larger groups of away fans try other nearby outlets.
They're far enough from the ground that away fans kind of have to make a specific decision to go there.
Dove is one of several pubs mentioned in ITFC's away fans guide, but in the 'spending more time in Ipswich?' section, as matchday, authorities only want official away outlets promoted...

There were loads on the waterfront, most of them having travelled by yacht.

Think it was West Ham fans who sang "Does your butler know you're here?" to travelling Fulham fans.
