Historic Counties of English Towns & Cities
This is a little quiz I made a while back that I may have shared on here previously but I've slightly amended it and thought I would post it in case anyone would like a go. (Suffolk is one of the answers...)
There are six minutes to try and guess all 20, with answers needing to be entered into the corresponding highlighted boxes (you can move on if unsure of one by selecting a different answer box). All of the towns and cities listed now fall under different ceremonial counties to their historic ones, e.g. Bromley is part of Greater London but was previously in Kent.

For centuries, the city and many of its surrounding villages formed the Soke of Peterborough, in the historic county of Northamptonshire. The Soke of Peterborough had an independent county council, based in the city, between 1889 and 1965. After the Soke of Peterborough was abolished in 1965, the city formed part of the short-lived Huntingdon and Peterborough until 1974. Though the city has a long history as part of Northamptonshire (from the Middle Ages up to 1965), the city has been part of Cambridgeshire since 1974, and is the largest settlement in that county.
The Soke of Peterborough was a historic area of England associated with the City and Diocese of Peterborough. It was part of Northamptonshire, but was administered by its own county council, while the rest of Northamptonshire was administered by Northamptonshire County Council.
