Now the 1st International Break done how many pts will we get before the next. 21:47 - Sep 10 with 2846 views | quirkie | Just the 4 games before the next pointless international break. Three away games to Brighton, Southampton and West Ham with just the one home game against Villa. Be happy if we could get 4 pts from that, any more would be a nice bonus. Any less and that next international break going to be a long one.

Now the 1st International Break done how many pts will we get before the next. on 21:50 - Sep 10 with 2801 views | FrimleyBlue | I reckon we will get 4 draws. Then after the next international break we will start to see some wins. It'll take time to get us working together well enough to pick up wins imo and whilst we've had a gap in fixtures we've missed half our new starting 11 so haven't really gained anything other than match minutes for those involved. Think returning injured players will be a boost and we will soon begin to see the trend of starters and finishers. And I think this will be key for KM and for us getting wins.

Would take four draws! Brighton going to be tough, expect to lose that. Southampton, should be winning that one. Villa, probably the toughest game in this block, can see us drawing it, they’ll have one eye on Bayern surely. West Ham, one we could win.

I'm working on the (hopelessly optimistic) theory that this break has come at a bad time for Brighton - they've had an excellent start to the season and would no doubt have wanted to build some momentum, so perhaps the break might impact on their good start. Maybe. Possibly.

I personally wouldn’t want to be going into the next international break having not won a game. I get your point on the 4 draws but going winless can quickly spiral in this league, so would be good to get that off our back. 1 win and 2 draws would be ok.

So yeah, i'd take four. | |

Now the 1st International Break done how many pts will we get before the next. on 09:33 - Sep 11 with 2159 views | SomethingBlue | It's going to be difficult – anything more than two points and I'd be pleased. Think it'll be quite rough for us til after the next set of internationals, we'll need to hang in there and fans will need to be understanding. [Post edited 11 Sep 2024 9:34]

Got to be earmarking Southampton for a win. Not going to have a kinder away fixture this season than that one. McKenna is just a miles better manager than Martin and had his number twice last season.

We go into every game looking for a win. We will be looking to win all four, we won’t of course. We could have got the sun against Fulham. We held Liverpool for an hour and if it wasn’t for that hatrick would have drawn against ManC.

Sure, but some are more winnable than others of course.

Absolutely right about Southampton. Think we'll be fortunate to get anything out of Brighton away.

Just when the season starts it's interrupted by a series of pointless games where players get unnecessary injuries and aren't as fresh as they should be.

I realise equally Soton will be making a home game against us a must win. So under no illusions that it’s going to be bloody hard. But, and this isn’t news to people, we will need to pick up wins somewhere

I hadn't realised, but Brighton are facing a mini injury crisis at the mo, especially in midfield. Brazil's late game on Weds could also mean Joao Pedro is only fit for a late cameo too. It's good to know we're not facing them at their absolute strongest. They've come on the right side of the margins in some of their games too. Everton should've been a couple of goals ahead before they fell apart. Arsenal's bizarre sending-off tipped the scales in their favour too. There's nothing stopping us going there and bringing something back to Suffolk.

I think it's a bad idea to be talking "must win" at this point, I really do.

Fair enough. But I’d rather get the must wins in early doors so we aren’t left needing 5 wins from the final 8 games to stay up.

I'm with you on the southampton one, any chance to get 3 points from any of the clubs who may be around us is needed when ever we face them

I've given up watching International football, I still have no idea what the nations league is and how it works qualifying to a world cup or euro championship.
