Anyone in the UK seen the Aurora tonight? 02:32 - Sep 13 with 1473 viewsRyorry

Got a red alert re visibility to the naked eye all over UK, went out twice 01.45 & 02.00 (North Yorks, clear sky) but think I was a few minutes too late, though I did see a spectacular shooting star quite low in the N the first time; & got a faint green hue in NE on my phone the second time.

Some great images from Scotland & Wales on X; & one eye-witness alleging they saw it from Muswell Hill in London!

Nope. Where did you get the alert from? I’m rubbish with things like this and always only find out bout them afterwards.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Piece of advice; never take a photo of it when it is cold.

The alerts are almost always too short notice to be useful to me though - not sure if it’s technically possible for them to be sent earlier, if so, there might be other apps which are better.
