Random and useless bits of information you remember from years ago 14:18 - Sep 24 with 1577 viewsIllinoisblue

Back in the early 90s used to buy the NME every week. The letters page was always a good laugh. This would have been the time around when Kylie Minogue was high in the charts with Tears on my Pillow. Some wag wrote in to say she shouldn’t be worried about tears on her pillow and more concerned with stains on her sheets.

It’s a mildly amusing throwaway line yet here it sits in my brain some 30 years later.

I thought it was just me who remembered that!!!
A very clever word play from Mark Lamarr.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

On Radio Orwell when I was a mere kid I still swear to this day that they announced the forthcoming Ipswich pantomime as 'Cat Whittington and his Fabulous Dick'!
