Undercover in the home end…. 20:46 - Sep 26 with 1761 viewsMatt_Netherlands

Anyone else been in the home ends for any of our away games this season? I’ve done it twice now but yet to see anyone who even closely resembles an undercover town fan.

Saturday just just gone was a test. But the groans and swearing of those around me made it easier to conceal my wry laughter when Morsy’s shot hit the net.

And for anyone about to fire pelters for being in the home end, I’m stuck on 14 away points so I think it’s going to be my only way of getting to away games this season, other than winning the ballot lottery.

Haha, for every away game so far this season! Like you, am stuck on 14.

Was just in front of Phil at Soton, did see some Town fans react to our equaliser and get kicked out after upsetting a few Saints fans but that was the only moment I’ve seen this year.

Keeping quiet when Szmodics’ goal trickled in in the goal in front of me was one of the harder moments of my Town-supporting life.

I’ll be undercover at West Ham and Brentford too, so see you there - we’ll need to work on some kind of spy signal!

Managed to get free hospitality for Man City.
There was a row of Town fans in front of me. No need to suppress cheers there.

Was there again Saturday. My son even complimented me on my behaviour as the ball went in. Only giveaway would be if someone noticed my delayed clap when Southampton scored.

Saturday gave me confidence I can do it. Will hope to get to Fulham in Jan. also in the 14pt club.

Was in home end for the Brighton game. Was a pretty passive section and no goals so was ok but generally don’t like it. Was in with the Watford “ultras” lat season at vicarage road and was a nightmare having to pretend I wasn’t mentally ecstatic when morsy scored at the end

I'll be in the Spurs end when we go there in November. Will be a first for me & I have the tendency to get a bit vocal at games, so that will be a challenge!

If I've done it at the New Den among the Millwall fans, you'll be fine.

I was also at the hospitality at the Etihad with my daughter and some friends. We all managed to stay composed when SS scored, except for my daughter, she gave the game away early! That said, after chatting with a few people around us, it became clear there was a Bolton fan in front, taking his Man City-supporting son to the game, another non Citeh supporting bloke to our left and some Americans on their first trip to the Etihad to support "their" team. Funny old place…
