About a week and a half. We've both had it worse before, in terms of the effects of it, but still felt pretty wiped out.

Bloody sore frote on 08:53 - Sep 27 with 1029 views | DJR | Turning 65 in a couple of months, I've been offered the Covid jab, along with my flu jab, on 5 October. I will willingly take it as it can do both of the following lessen my chances of catching Covid, reduce the severity if I do catch it. But no doubt. because of the stance of papers like the Daily Telegraph, there will be many much older than me and so more at risk who will not take it. [Post edited 27 Sep 2024 8:56]

Correct, my Mother and Father always refused the flu jab, this was long before Covid, because they had never had flu, then one year they caught flu while in their 60's, it made them very poorly for 4 - 6 weeks and was 10 to 12 weeks before they could resume their previously very active retirement life. Needless to say they always had the flu jab after that, it was a shock to walk from the bedroom to the kitchen in a small bungalow and not have the strength to fill the kettle. Also according to Chris Smith the Consultant Virologist from Cambridge, the covid jab boosts the immune system against many things not just covid, with no science to explain why this should happen, but it does, I am booked in for mine before the West Ham game.

Abbot Ale? It would certainly account for the sweats!

There's quite a nasty strain of it about at the moment which is quite 'old skool' in its presentation. Been seeing a bit of the old 'happy hypoxia' recently. You're definitely advised to take up a jab. [Post edited 27 Sep 2024 10:04]
