They have had a really good start to life in League One.
Up to 3rd, level on points with Wrexham* in 2nd, after winning at Crawley tonight (Elliott Hewitt with an assist). Five wins and two draws from their opening eight games.
I think they've only ever had one season in the second division so they are punching above their weight a bit but it would be great to see them in the Championship. I'd also like to see Lincoln have a go up there and they are doing well too (in 4th with 15 points).

I was at Crawley last night for the game.
Mansfield looked good in the first half. They’ve got Lee Gregory up front who is still a class above League One even at 36.
But once he went off at half time, along with two others, they lost their way a little.
Crawley huffed and puffed in the second half, played some reasonable football but never really looked like scoring apart from one shot that hit the post.
They’ve got the same look that we had in our relegation season. Play well in patches but struggle with a cutting edge.
Fair play to Mansfield, they had more quality and have adapted well to League One. Not sure they’ll go up with the size of the other clubs in that division but you never know.
A lot of Birmingham fans are currently on board HMS P*** The League but we know what happened to us in our first season in League One. |  | | |
