He should go out on loan in Jan to a top half league one club. Try and prove himself before his deal expires in the summer.

Can’t say I see him being the sort of player you want in what already seems to be a relegation fight.
I know there are many who don’t like to hear it but I genuinely don’t think he’s that good and if he was really going to make it at a decent level he would have done it by now. |  | | |

Dozzell has always struck me as the sort of player who needs to play in a system which is built to highlight his strengths. Pretty much he has to play in a 3 man midfield as he's not strong or quick enough for a 2 man midfield, and he needs a couple of people to do his carrying so he can be utilised as a playmaker.
We were never going to be able to do that during our League One years (especially under Lambert), and neither were a struggling QPR. The same applies for Portsmouth. Realistically, there's very few teams in the Champ whose playing style matches his skillset unfortunately. |  | | |

There was a great little player in Doz at the youth levels, but he never really brought it into the men's game. Sadly, MC is probably the position that gets the most scrutiny in modern systems, so, he has a lot of pressure deal with. I don't think his ACL injury did him any favours at all, but sadly it looks like he may never live up to the potential many thought he had. [Post edited 24 Oct 2024 13:38]

I think he has the skills and knowledge, but I don't think he has the physicality to make it work. | |

Not yet. He wasn't very inspiring in league one so until he's playing regularly and doing well at that level, who knows what his level is!? | | | |
