Total football.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

A fitting tribute to Trevor...what a team we had then, remember it well literally hammering West Brom 7 nil
on a very dark wet day. He not only scored 4 goals but was always quick to thank his team mates, came across as a unassuming nice guy. RIP Trevor

I was a bit too young and skint to even consider going out to Rome for the Lazio game (I knew a couple of fans that did and I didn't envy them in the event) so when I think of Whymark at his peak it is that WBA home game that I think of, an incredible evening.

There was something clearly very dangerous about being a Town striker in the 70s…… Jonty, Frank Clarke, Mick Hill, Ron Wigg,…. And now Diss’s finest.

There was something dangerous about all football when it came to heading those lumps of concrete that we had to play with then.

Before footballers were well paid. Worked as a delivery driver after finishing in football.

RIP Trevor.

I never tire of seeing this game again. One of two 7-0's I have seen Town win.

I was at the game versus WBA what a day it was! Town had beaten West Brom and West Ham for the signing of Paul Mariner earlier in the week, and the crowd were buzzing.
It was a brilliant performance and atmosphere capped by the four goals that Trevor scored along with Paul Mariner scoring on his debut..
The win put Town 2nd just behind Liverpool but Town was destined to finish the season 3rd behind Liverpool and Man City, such was the fantastic ability of Ipswich Town back then.

We have now seen three players and a great manager die from that team Kevin Beattie, Paul Mariner and now Trevor, all amazing players and England internationals and of course Sir Bobby one of the greatest England managers.RIP to all of you Town legends.
