Thoughts on their goal… 23:38 - Nov 2 with 1681 viewsbrazil1981

From where I was sitting high in the SAR it looked a clear foul on Morsy. However talk afterwards was more about the non penalty and sending off decisions!

Those close in the Cobbold, in all honesty, would you say he was fouled or was he just ‘looking for it’?

The number of fouls the ref let go from them in general for the last 15 minutes was scandalous.

I lost count how many times our players were brought down and he waved play on, those around me got progressively more and more furious because of that until many exploded when the goal went in.

It really did look like a referee who was determined to ensure a goal for Leicester.

I think both he and Burns were looking for it tbh, that annoyed me as much as anything else.

We know how strong Sam can be. A really, really rare error of judgement from him, however we had lots of chances to stop the goal after that. Burns just fell over trying to tackle.

Got to admit I agree
Morsy had a great game but went down hoping for a foul, didn't look like a foul, and burns had a chance to take the breaking player out and failed
Absolutely gutting but dint think the ref got that wrong.

However he massively got the penalty and sending off wrong, gutted

Live I was convinced it was a foul but watching it back i think Morsy just loses control and then the Leicester player is stronger. Burns should have done much better or at least made a cynical foul. There’s been a few goals we've conceded this season where maybe there was an opportunity to break up the attack with a tactical foul earlier in the move.

Some similar clashes were fouls and some weren't - for both sides. What hope have you got if a referee can't even be consistent for 90 minutes of the same game?

Ditto with cards. Delap crashed into their players 3 times, no card. Szmodics with the worse tackle of the game, no booking (presumably because that was after 90 seconds). Then Phillips gets a second yellow for for his first (honest) challenge after being booked.

The yellows for nudging the ball away a few yards/holding the ball for a second are also pathetic (for both teams). But as fans we bay for the ref to give them to opposing players as we've been conditioned to. They should be doing their utmost to keep it 11 v 11 unless really necessary. But it seems the opposite to me these days.

Based on Match of the Day, it wasn’t a foul on Morsy and Burns’s challenge wasn’t strong enough.

Thought it was a foul in real time but tbf MOTD has made me question whether it was... I probably got that wrong but by then I was do incensed at the earlier decisions my blood was boiling!
The free kick we got that caused the "incident " was almost the same as the zchaplin assault except probably more of an attempt at the ball.
I can only assume we don't waste time practicing pens because we just don't get them and haven't for more time than I can remember!
Surely opposition do commit offences against us in the box sometimes?be interesting to work out the length of time or averages involved over last year and the of number of minutes that all these angels have been foul free against us?

Wasn't a foul on Morsy by any stretch of the imagination.

Burns looks very weak here, pathetic to be so lightweight, he almost bounces off him, either slow him up or take him out, awful and out his depth.

Burns really should have clattered him. Bounced off way too easily
