There's a new attraction at the Bury Recycling Centre: a skip specifically for upholstered furniture.

The lack of separate recycling for hard plastics is a concern. The council currently doesn't have a contract for its disposal, so it currently goes into The Incinerator.

I reckon the lack of hard plastics contract is worthy of a letter to your MP. You seem to be lagging behind us backward Welshies on the recycling front. I've just done a quick search and West Suffolk only has a recycling rate of 35.9%. Our's here in Swansea is 70%.

Imagine being beaten by the Welsh - the shame of it. (It's probably the only thing we're good at these days over here, although it's of course been a priority of the Welsh Labour Govt. for a long time).
