I notice, as expected with Utd, the away end had more fans than seats in it 21:19 - Nov 24 with 1844 viewsStenvict

Don't think I'd ever have the bottle to travel all that way without a ticket in the hope of squeezing in with someone else

How does that work? They wouldn’t get it. I assume it’s just people bunching up together once they’re in, which always happens.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

The stairwells were completely full for the whole game. It was very clear to me that there were more fans than seats.

It’s impossible.

They sell the same number of tickets as there are seats.

Utd fans are notorious for thinking they can do what they like.

It’s called jibbing.

Surely that’s nigh on impossible in this day and age?

Barriers around the turnstiles, better security at the turnstiles etc.

I imagine it's easier to do at an old ground like PR, whereas nigh on impossible at a new ground like Spurs' ground, where the stewards put the ticket in the scanner for you.

...at the away turnstiles today.

If I was being cynical I'd suggest they were purposely causing a crush so that they could "jib" in.

It was really badly organised and blocked the entire road at about 4pm.

Surely the club is all over that though?

It’s still rife among certain fanbases I think, Utd fans are probably the worst thought it.

When I went to Old Trafford last season for a game the youngsters behind me were talking about how they ‘jibbed’ whatever game it was the week before and how they were going to try it at Villa next.

They try and go twos up through automatic turnstiles etc

There looked to be room closer to the middle of the Cobbold. Lots of their lot in the middle and around the exits.

They were in fine voice. Good away fans.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I’ve been told that you can use the same season ticket card at the automated turnstiles at the sir Alf twice if you’re double quick.
