Forest fans (another recollection from yesterday)…. 16:22 - Dec 1 with 1649 viewsITFC_Forever

We went in the Trent Navigation before the game and popped in the Bridgford Chippy after.

In both places, a number of Forest fans went out of their way to be friendly, say “welcome back” and have a chat about our respective clubs and their progress in recent years

Exactly how it should be.

Extremely similar clubs.

We should be brothers in arms!

Agreed, met lots of great locals before and after the game who were very complementary and would prefer us staying up. Similar historic grounds as well. Forest away my 2nd favourite away ground so far this season (spurs will be favourite this season), noticed that they had their highest attendance in 30 odd years yesterday and it was a great atmosphere.

Went to the nest at Notts county ground before the game, cracking venue for beers and pizza. Could see something similar at the fanzone, although not sure I’d want the club to do anything that limits pubs in town.

Proper club. Proper fans.

Intimate, old and loud town centre (ish!) ground.

Football as it should be.

Same... went in the micro pub at station and had good long chats with locals along with good beer.... the imperial stout ..wow (but very expensive!) Was intending to go to the county fanzone but just stayed in there till we walked to the ground.

A Forest fan spotted my scarf post game as we walked back to town and said that he thought we were the best of the 3 promoted sides (they have played all 3), that we were unfortunate not to get a draw and that he hoped we stayed up. From those I spoke to before and after the game they seemed a decent bunch to me.
