I bloody hate this time of the year 18:56 - Dec 1 with 3518 viewsDubtractor

I've never had a diagnosis for SAD, but I'm pretty certain I have it, as I always end up in a bit of a funk in November and December. Having my birthday in November feels like a stitch up.

It's dark, damp and miserable, and gets more so with each passing day. I have precisely zero motivation to do anything, and it's the same every single year.

Anyone else suffer with the Autumn blues?

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

I often think I suffer with SAD but funnily enough I love November and December, and the whole build up to Christmas. I really struggle in January & February. I could genuinely hibernate for those 2 months straight.

I can fully understand how some people feel about this time of year. It certainly can be very dark and miserable. I don't look forward to the cycle to and from work in the cold and dark and often attempt to find reasons not to cycle. Once I set off though it's usually a nice way to start the day.

I at least do have one personal plus point in that the days it's not overcast (which are unfortunately infrequent) the night is long and that's great for one of my hobbies.

Hopefully we get some nice winter days without the damp component, I think that'll make a bit of a difference to everyone.

I’m with you.

Absolutely hate this time of year, have done for years. Go to work in the dark and come home in the dark.

Miserable cold days.

Christmas chucked in your face from early November.

The days do start to draw out in a couple of weeks though but January and February are usually the worst months to endure.

These are my views too, despite having skied in the coldest of places.

A sunny morning like today - lovely. But most of the time - miserable.

November - January? Forget it. Not a fan. Christmas? Enjoyed the catch up with old friends and existing ones during December and still do, but the rest of it in miserable old git category and always was. For children? That’s different.

Definitely with you on this. I feel so sluggish but am usually much better once I am out and about. I do have a SAD and it certainly doesn't do any harm. Worth investing in one. Take care.

December is my favourite month. On average I carry out 32.27% of my yearly total of masturbations during the festive month.
