Big step up, isn’t it? 22:20 - Dec 3 with 1292 viewsDarkBrandon

I didn’t think we were that bad. Not great, obviously, but we had a few decent performers.

But we barely laid a glove on them after the goal

Yes, much bigger than I thought but 20 years of not having prem money is certainly showing. Whole team didn't look up for it. Once they scored game was done.

We didn't lay a glove on them before the goal. Probably the most blunt we've looked under McKenna.

Big time, we were second best all over the pitch really

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

It is isn’t it!

It’s becoming increasingly clear that even the weakest teams in this league are better than we thought they would be. Mean, we’re not bad, but it seems like we’re not quite good enough most of the time.

There’s no shame in that, but I hope I hope a season of nearly but not quite, of real effort but never really being good enough, won’t damage this group of young players too much.

Must just be me but I really don’t think it is as big as people make out. It’s fine margins.

In every game there are significant periods where we’re the better team but we either create absolutely nothing or squander the chances we do get.

I don't think that can be said for tonight. It would have been interesting to see how Palace approached it had it stayed 0-0. Would they have pushed for the winner or been content with a draw?

At this level if we aren’t creating chances we aren’t the better side.

The other side if just letting us have the majority of the ball, drawing us forward and looking to hit us on the break.

It was noticeable how little injury time was added on. Palace didn’t even have to resort to time wasting

We compete and no team have give us a hiding so far , but what we lack is experience at this level and it now starting to show .
Up until their goal I thought we done ok and would have bitten your hand off for the draw , but their experience saw that game out without too much of a sweat .
We will only gain experience by keep going and try to be as competitive as possible until the season end , will it be enough …….time will tell , keep the faith everyone.

I thought the last ten of the first and up to the goal we were the better team. We looked beaten on the way back to the kick off.

But it’s the fine margins teams like us at the bottom are always on the wrong end of. And that’s why we’ll probably be relegated. Bigger, better, physically stronger players give you thr edge to be on the other side of those margins
