Bournemouth’s second goal was really well worked 10:37 - Dec 9 with 1055 viewsIllinoisblue

Draw three defenders in, quick pass outside, quick ball in. Fatal.

Yeah, one of the rare occasions when their quick passing actually delivered something rather than just looking nice. Muric nearly redeemed himself a bit there too.

For all the criticism of Muric for the first goal, he stopped the initial shot here and was probably a couple of inches or milliseconds away from one of the most extraordinary saves Portman Road has witnessed.

Fine margins yet again.

Almost incredible from Muric.

Burgess absolutely fuming with Leif, he fully expected him to stay with the runner but I suppose he could have done himself. Not sure who was in the right to be honest.

It's a good goal. If we score that we're purring about it until Christmas, but when it goes against us people will say it's a poor goal. Arguably it came down to not being able to defend well enough from the front, which in turn comes down to our lack of quality substitutions available.

Are you being serious?

"a couple of inches or milliseconds away from one of the most extraordinary saves Portman Road has witnessed." Some people on here are in another world. How very "Sensational".

The first save, Johnson is actually there. The second, he gets a hand to it, but I would say most GOalies would have done. That think its practiced time and time again in training.

On second review, I question where Jack Clarke was re the runner? If Leif is covering the inside and is left exposed, I'd anticipate someone tracking the runner in front of him (similarly Cajuste)

A good goal nonetheless but nowhere near tight enough.

Burgess was right not to track the runner as he'd have been out of position, it was simply Davis to cover the runner and Cajuste/Burgess deal with the player with the ball. Easy to say after the event, but think that's why Burgess was going mad.

a niche perspective

Yes, you can see Burgess telling Leif to track Billing's run. Instead Lief turned his body the wrong way to show Semenyo inside, when Burgess was already there and Cajuste was coming to support.
