Perspective 11:19 - Dec 9 with 1147 views | BlueNomad | They started with a £40m Brazil international striker. Semenyo £20m+. Their three attacking subs cost over £60m. We started with a promising 21 year old striker. Our subs cost £2m. We just lose at the end.

As Ian Westlake was saying on TWTV… Semenyo is one of the most coveted players in the Premier League. Far more so than Delap. He will move in January or the summer for a huge fee. And as Westlake says will be playing in the Champions League next season. Newcastle rumoured to have tabled a £45m bid already. It’ll be higher and he’ll join a top 4 club in my view.

Maybe 'cos our bench lacks the depth of theirs . . .
Perspective on 13:29 - Dec 9 with 674 views | tractorboy1978 | They had three attackers playing behind a Brazil international that are as good as/more effective than Hutchinson. Then they brought another one of a similar quality off the bench. It is levels unfortunately.
Perspective on 13:32 - Dec 9 with 659 views | Vaughan8 | Next you'll be saying their goalie is worth £70m............... The price of players is a bit of a lazy analysis. Anthony for Man utd cost £80m (?), That Hojlund £70m, but they're no good. You could pretty much argue against the costs of most other squads in the league and say ours in inferior. However, our bench players (or squad), specifically in certain areas are not good enough. [Post edited 9 Dec 2024 13:33]

He's two years ahead of Delap from a development aspect, worked his way through the EFL, big money move in Jan '23 and then built on his reputation from there. Certainly looked good yesterday, his movement and awareness were excellent.
