Time for the supporters to dig in and show the same grit 11:34 - Dec 9 with 753 views | jasondozzell | That the team are showing. It's easy to support a football team when it's successful. We've been spoilt with the last few seasons but let's remember before. We still had good support even when it was the bleakest of times under Evans. Follow the town up or down means something! These players are giving everything and playing their hearts out. They've been a joy to watch for nearly 3 years. We've had some great preferences performances against huge Prem teams who have had years of the big money. Stuart Watson pointed out that Bournemouth put on three subs worth 60m at the end. Their keeper played for Real Madrid. We've got to relish the David V Goliath fight. I'm still convinced we will stay up.

I suppose it's to be expected with us yet to win

Because we've added thousands of fair weather fans in the interim, who haven't been on the journey and expect us to win regardless of the practicalities.

I moved my tickets for yesterday's match into Cobbold VU3, rare opportunity to see the game from that angle for me. I was struck by how lonely it felt as a 'singer', crowd in that section definitely didn't seem up for it. Maybe not entirely surprising as a high percentage of those seats probably sold to the "fair weather" fans (as a result of them being last to be available, an unusually high home-capacity, etc).

Yes, I suppose that doesn't help. It's also the thought vs reality though isn't it? Pre-season we were all readily up for "every game is a free hit, let's go out and enjoy every game regardless". But as each defeat comes one after the other and the home games get a sense of inevitability, it becomes hard for fans. I don't want to be too critical as only made one game this season, it's just something I've picked up on from watching on TV. Again, I must stress whilst I'm disappointed in the poor support I can't really blame it
