I wouldn't give it another thought to be honest. If the Prem try and relegate them then City will tie them up with legal challenges for years. At best the team in 18th could probably take action against them and receive some sort of settlement in several years time. |  |

There's enough 'murcan owners to just say no relegation from now on.
I'm sure the Arab owners will say yes. Their clubs don't live in the bottom half but I think they'd still be OK with that.

The PL won't relegate City. City is too big/rich and the PL need them as part of their cash cow.
At the rate City are going at the moment they won't even qualify for the CL via the league this season. Perfect timing for the PL to fine them a points deduction which takes them from 7th to 15th. City wont care as they aren't interested in the non CL competitions.
