Kept myself off here to keep away from emotional posting.

Didn't see that winner coming but maybe they're the best ones.

Missed the opening half due to Internet issues but watched the whole of the 2nd.

Wasn't the best last 25.. I felt on 65 the gaps were there for us to hurt but our subs didn't make the most of those gaps it seemed. Morsy was blown but we seem stuck on having to take cajuste off which killed us a bit as he was brilliant and really direct.

Taylor bravo. Still think I'd like to see him in that 10 as I dint feel it works for him being deep but he did one driving g run which was excellent.

I did say before the game the right side worried me and I personally believe it was bad as I thought it would be. Clarke I dunno what he was told to do but the gaps he left were frightening and burns just doesn't have the fitness to be effective this season yet. The one pppruntky he had to put it on place for delap just needed calmly slotting along the line.

Chappers bravo. Loved chappers. Same with hutch.

Clarke J. Lovely corner, not quite sure what we call his role as he was everywhere.

Al hamadi definitely looking fitter which is great to see.

Oshea and Burgess were rocks again. Burgess has developed so much its crazy. Many times he was under the cosh but he dealt with adversity with ease.

Muric. Funny buger isn't he. He will be a great keeper I think we just need to stick with him and help him out a bit behind the scenes. Not the first goal he's conceded near post. I do wish he would throw it quicker sometimes too.

All in all an important win. You can see the glaring gaps in quality in our side. January is massive.

We have a chance but we need a good 4/5 quality signings.. is that possible?

I think for me. H Clarke at rb is a no no. Same as burns. Imo let's thank them for being part of the promotions but there are levels to this game.
Morsy. Captain fantastic yes but hes human he does need subbing. When he can't control midfield we lost it a bit as we saw today.

Coyb. Absolutely chuffed. Needed that win.

a niche perspective

That's very harsh on the Burns cross, it needed a good weight to beat the keeper and incoming defender. It was a tad high but in the perfect location for Delap's run. Fair few goals are bundled in at the far post from a similar delivery. I agree Burns does appear to have lost a bit of pace or everyone around him have got quicker.

Harry Clarke was ok and is what he is. Not a Premier level defender but apart from the missed header he was ok.

Yes nothing wrong with the Burns cross. Wasn't as much of a sitter as a couple of the ones Delap has missed lately (Man Utd and Palace), but still guilt-edged. Had to header it, was too high to volley. Has Delap scored any headers for us yet? His xG to goals ratio is in the bottom quarter in the Prem.

It really isn’t a good ball. It’s absolutely hammered in waist height. Either across the floor for an easy tap in or higher for a header. The fact he’s had to go at it with his knee says everything.

It wasn't waist height though, and it wasn't absolutely hammered either. It was a tad high but I think Delap could have adapted his contact better.

? What are you on about.

With both players on the pitch together it was 1-1.

For town thankfully we scored at the end to get the win. But with Burns and clarke as the right side for the minutes they were on the pitch together it was 1-1. We hadn't done enough with their Inclusion to win the game during the minutes they were on together.

Thought that was quite easy to understand tbh.

Look I know you're desperate here. But let's leave it. You're getting lost. You like the players I get it.

I'm not sure either would've been involved in the goal even if they were still on the pitch. And we didn't score it because those two were out of the way!

But all of this is besides the point - they were on the pitch for the majority and we won. I don't attribute the win to them... and if we hadn't won I wouldn't have attributed that to them either.

For the record, I agreed with the rest of your OP.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
