The other 200 balls he played the same way for the whole half were instructed passes. No difference from what southampton did under Martin. You either play the way you're asked too or you don't. took him 3 times to take a kick from an offside, the ref wanted the ball on the ground and stopped but alas this goalkeeper was confused by basic football.

It makes him wrong.
The club decided McKenna was rhe real deal and decided to pay him a hundred grand a week.

Ryorry. Muric was absolutely fine today bar 1 mistake which is again either not a mistake as he's following instructions or is.. that's not really one we can decide.
But he wasn't at fault for any of the other goals. |
Maybe I'm being harsh, but I thought at the game that he could have done better with the three other goals, and having seen the Sky highlights, my view hasn't changed.
For the first, he helps the ball into the net. For the second, he raises only one arm. And for the fourth he could have dived better.
Of course, I am not saying he should have saved all three, but I feel he could perhaps have saved at least one, or at least made a better fist of it.
The issue it seems to me with Muric (leaving aside his clear mistakes) is that because of his bulk, he is not particularly agile, and doesn't react quickly enough on occasions, the winning goal against Brentford being a particular example. [Post edited 21 Dec 2024 21:13]

Not sure he is enamoured with the options behind him.
It's a shame because Muric does so much well, but his brain just seems to switch off once a game. |
