…it’s “Walton in”, OK? Repeat after me, “Walton in” because incredibly, League One Walton can make saves too!

Stunning performance. Great to see Wolfenden back in the fold and looking comfortable, O’Shea putting in a magnificent performance, Cajuste and Morsy imperious and Delap providing a masterclass.

We have our system. We’ll only get better from here. Top night. Walton in #waltonmakessavestoo

He didn't really have too much to do.

Pleased for him, but don't get ahead of yourself.

Let's just enjoy the win, without being divisive.

The confidence in those ahead of him.

Or how about we accept that it’s been the right call for a long time, should have been made earlier and those being called “clueless”, really aren’t.

He was solid tonight. One bad pass at the end but did everything required of him. Including looking comfortable on crosses to take the pressure off. The fear mongering about him being League One level has been utter nonsense for a while - not that he needed to prove anything given how great he’s been for us and how he faired against Liverpool. Pleased for him. He starts against Fulham.

Happy to agree to differ.

Pleased for Walton, but also don't like the vindictive pile on to Muric. Some 'fans' haven't helped his confidence.

Stay classy.

Walton was literally perfect. I don't remember a single occasion when he failed to deal with anything (except maybe the shot that came off the post, but that would have been a stupidly good save to make the first one).

It doesn't mean Muric wouldn't have been just as good, but I'd be more than happy going into the next few games with Walton between the sticks. There wasn't a hint of drama tonight and that, unfortunately, has been Muric's achilles heel despite some of his amazing saves.

Defenders seem much more confident with Walton in goal. Also Walton's shot stopping and saves isn't any worse than Muric's. First clean sheet since Brighton, mind you

Nah, that's nonsense. I'm quite happy to stick my neck on the line and say that you don't know better than McKenna.

I'm not sure about people saying he's only L1 level either. Happy to be proved wrong, but I think most people seem happy with him but just recognise Muric is overall the better keeper. (Although his wobbles are a massive elephant in the room)

But yes agreed that Walton was great. No dramas, did everything he had to. Seemed in synch with the defence. All good. Very good actually - I'd give him a run.

I’m really pleased he played well. But it’s one game - and Muric has played some excellent games as well. Do we need to score point against each other tonight?
