Transfer window predictions... 11:53 - Jan 2 with 8868 viewsitfcjoe

In

- Young GK (U21)
- RB/RCB in similar profile to Tuanzebe
- Right Winger to replace Ogbene
- Versatile attacker - another number 10, KM loves his options
- Striker

Out

- Slicker - Loan to free up a space
- H.Clarke - Loan as he's not quite ready for me and we should be well covered with above signings
- Al-Hamadi - Loan
- Ogbene to be deregistered if he is definitely out for the season

That would keep us within the squad limits.

Other question to answer is over Central Midfield, can we return Phillips with no financial penalty and replace with cheaper if all they are is a back up to Morsy and utilise that money elsewhere?

The question is for me is, if there is a clause to send Phillips back, and we use it, who do we sign to replace him?

My thoughts, for what it's worth:

RB/RWB is manageable with Johnson, Clarke and Burns with Tuanzebe coming at the end of Jan. 3-4-3 allows for a few to cover, can't see why we'd use more wage budget up with 4 options in Feb.

DM - I could see us bringing in a younger version of Luongo or Morsy, and Luongo moving from the club. We are light next season for midfielders with Phillips on loan, Cajuste possibly not being here, and Morsy 34 this year. Long term signing to get blooded this season.

RW - Ogbene to be deregistered to allow a new player. Possibly a loan signing.

ST - Loan signing to allow Al-Hamadi to go on loan.

Just the one permanent (DM), loans to cover the gaps. More permanent signings to come next window when we know what league we're playing in.

Very surprised if we don't signal RB and loan out Clarke. Not about being manageable. It's about upgrading and finding an extra 10 points over the next 19.

Usual bedwetters on here having a meltdown that we’ve not landed all 20 of our top targets by 27th Jan.

…oh wait not that kind of prediction.

Ah, the old ‘I’m too cool to care that we need help in certain positions, and I’m happy to watch 4 games pass us by’

Not like we’ve needed certain positions covered since the summer…

We’ll be good again... one day

What If we sell back Clarke to Sunderland he would be worth a lot more to them than us .as he just hasn't cut it in this league..plus sell Chaplin as well
