Has a team ever been relegated from the Premier League with a points deduction? 08:59 - Jan 3 with 1570 views | GlasgowBlue | Forest and Everton both received deductions but stayed up. In Forest’s case their spending kept them in the Premier Legaue and now they are in the top three. Leicester got away with a deduction because they were relegated so couldn’t be punished a they were a Championship club. Our owners obviously have money to spend but so far Ashton has been careful not to fall foul of the rules. Could that policy chance in the hope that we can do a Forest, or if the worst comes to the worst we can get off like a Leicester did?

Has a team ever been relegated from the Premier League with a points deduction? on 09:01 - Jan 3 with 1546 views | Edmundo | The EPL are after Leicester again for PSR/FFP rule breaking, and they're a basket case, so wouldn't be surprised if they go down with points deducted anyway. A dream would be Man Cheaty too, but their lawyers will wrap the FA up in tape for years.

Has a team ever been relegated from the Premier League with a points deduction? on 09:03 - Jan 3 with 1509 views | Danny_G | Middlesbrough in 1996/97, under different circumstances. Refused to play a match at Blackburn because of illnesses and injuries, drew the rearranged match and were deducted three points which would have kept them up.

They got relegated same season but don't recall if the 10 points was the deciding factor but it can't have helped with that going on.
Has a team ever been relegated from the Premier League with a points deduction? on 09:40 - Jan 3 with 1309 views | NthQldITFC | I wouldn't want us to spend beyond FFP (i.e. cheat) even in order to stay up. I hate cheats. I hate bullsh!tters and excuse makers and deceivers and manipulators. Utter scum that destroy harmony and decency and justice. I'd see Leicester (and others) relegated and put under a transfer embargo for three times as long as they've been in breach of FFP rules. The Scottish FA did it with Rangers. Mind you, I'd also put the Premier League and the Football League back together and end the obscene wealth gap. I can't remember whether I'm ranting about football or families or politics or general life

Has a team ever been relegated from the Premier League with a points deduction? on 10:14 - Jan 3 with 1199 views | Guthrum | I don't think we're in much danger of falling foul of the rules, even if we do spend a bit this window. Looking at the accounts and lengths of contract, Ashton has been very careful to spread costs as far as possible. They won't have come into the set of accounts being examined now, pushing even the possibility of penalties into next season. On top of which, we've had a big chunk of investment to offset losses in the Championship. A bigger constraint is the registered squad size limit, which would mean going for U21s or potentially shipping players out (or, at least, removing them from the possibility of playing for the first team).

They would've been relegated without it. West Ham avoided a points deduction once that sent Sheff U down.
