Saw he scored 2 goals at the weekend for Notts County. 10 goals in 21 league games so far this season and he’s 38 in this calendar year…

Always assumed he would be one of those players forced to retire before 30 due to injuries/fitness when he was with us. How he was only making around 20 apps a season for us 7/8 years ago (and arguably played in some games whilst injured/unfit) is a mystery to me

What an unplayable player on his day though. One of the most technically gifted/skilful I’ve seen play for us.

Not sure I've ever seen a player so much better than the other 10 around him than Didz was for us.

not sure how many appearances he's made in his career but his mileage must be relatively low for a player of his age.

562 league appearances plus 14 international, not prodigious but not a bad tally either. 157 goals scored. Most appearances and most goals were for us but I like it that he started out at his home town club and he now looks like he will finish his career there too.

Lazy players don't get picked 135 times by Mick McCarthy mate.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Whilst I'm not normally one for the AAH criticism, I wonder if McG would basically offer us the same were he with us now...

Would probably still do a job, but not the answer for me.

Get someone younger IMO.
