Solid performance today, but very underwhelmed by Bristol 19:37 - Jan 12 with 1131 views | ghostofescobar | Chance of an upset, we made 10 changes, Maidstone last year still fresh, playing in front of a big crowd, but I thought they were awful. Seemed very lacklustre. Very little intensity. Thought they might have a real go at us. And their fans were poor as well. Maybe I am doing our players a disservice, but that was one of the most comfortable results I’ve seen at PR for years. Lots of positives for us though: Townsend, Philips, Mas, Godfrey, Clarke first half, Taylor was good, and great to see Hirst back.

Solid performance today, but very underwhelmed by Bristol on 19:54 - Jan 12 with 1007 views | Ftnfwest | Yeah thought Clarke was really good, acknowledging the oppo of course. Townsend and Godfrey both good, as was the rest of the midfield. Broady looked sharp again when he came on as did Hirst. Impressed by how we didn’t ever let them get a head of steam up though. The only point that happened very slightly was after the penalty miss. Think if that had gone we could have had 6 but dropped off after that until the subs came on. Good job all in all.
Solid performance today, but very underwhelmed by Bristol on 20:09 - Jan 12 with 958 views | _clive_baker_ | Bit harsh on the Gas. Phillips, Godfrey, J. Clarke, Burns…in fact just about all of the players that featured for us today are at worst top Championship players, in a lot of cases you could make an argument they’re premier league players. We’ve also got a high degree of continuity / muscle memory / consistency. Brizzle were miles off, as is all of League 1. They’re not even a particularly good L1 side. Had it been at their place it might’ve been a bit more of a leveller, but even then a 7/10 performance from us should be enough. We were on it from the word go really and never gave them a sniff. TBH a lot was made of the Maidstone defeat but it wasn’t wildly different today, we just got the early goal. That game was the definition of ‘one of those days’, they had 2 chances on the counter and converted them both while we had about 700 chances and not much to show for it. Thankfully a better outcome today.

Interesting, I thought J.Clarke was really disappointing. Chance to really have a go at a lower league defence but underwhelmed in my opinion.

Thought he was at the centre of most of our creativity in the first half and took his goal well
