So basically we need 3 points from the below mataches, if we don't win these games we would be likely relegated?

Wolves (H)
Leicester (A)
Everton (A)
Southampton (H)

Is that going to be enough to get 17th place, close.

All starts tonight I guess, we need Chelsea to pump Wolves by no less than 6.

Spoiler alert, we aren't staying up. Winning those still leaves us 10 points short. A Chelsea resurgence would be nice tonight but can see Wolves getting something they actually look a much better side than their results show.

Winning those leaves us on 28 points. The table at the moment suggests the bar is not going to be as high as 38 points. At the moment Wolves are on track for 28 points and Everton are on track for 36.

Still not easy though. Could really get back to getting some consistent draws.

Any side that loses 6:0 to anyone probably doesn’t deserve to be in the same league. The only other team that might do that is Southampton. It’s been fun but I very much doubt that we will stay up this year. We’ll need some huge slices of luck if we do…

Liverpool beat Man Utd. 7-0 in 2023.
One match doesn't really matter. It just proves that we aren't good enough to win the title.
It has been a tough slog, but this is just one of the low moments. We will have highs again that make us feel like we will stay up. We are still very much in with a chance of staying up. We desperately need to beat Southampton at home to get us back on track.

I thought the crowd was good early in the game, and also later in the game, but when you're being heavily defeated it's difficult.

However the crowd against Brighton on Thursday was fairly flat in contrast. Thursday was more of a favourable game where the crowd were needed to give more.

It's not the first time, it wasn't great against Everton or Leicester from memory, which is why I feel for the Southampton game, it's needs to turn from being flat to being the 12th man.

The atmosphere against Chelsea for example was excellent. I understand the score line and big team opposition help, but when you are fighting for every point, these margins can be the difference in gaining an advantage on the day. Any small advantage can add up.

If Wolves lose tonight, they have a really tough run in of games coming up, you can't see them getting much from them and in this period we have Southampton at home. If we don't beat Southampton and beat them well, I would think that is curtains if we don't get any points before that on top.

Who knows though, the whole thing / last few years have been bonkers so expect a box office finish no doubt.

We don't have to beat Southampton well. We can win by an own goal back pass in the last minute after being battered for 90 minutes. It is points that count. We have had plenty of battling draws and loses.

Obviously it is the points that count, but any opportunity to also boost the goal difference should be taken, especially if we're staying similar to Wolves. If we ended on the same points as them, but went down on GD, it would be games like Southampton where we'd kick ourselves (along with yesterday's -6 obviously) if we don't take advantage of opportunities.

Ultimately if we win all those games it will be because we are better than those teams and will most likely be picking up more points elsewhere as well.

You can’t say we’re not staying up when we have the same points tally as our direct competition
with 16 still to play.

I know yesterday hurt but no need to say silly things.

Realistic not silly, Wolves have much more in attack than us, it's essentially between us them and maybe Leicester.

That’s a daft thing to say,on their day Man City can beat the best in the World. But look at the cost of their team,we just can’t keep up with the like of those clubs.

I wouldn’t stress out to much about it,the premier league is made up of three mini leagues and we are in the bottom one 15-20 place,17th is our target.
