Think we have to realise as supporters that we are playing established teams many of who once a player is deemed beyond his peak or not quite good enough is replaced by a multi million pound player. We have broken our transfer record six times this year and yet many of the teams we are playing against pay two thirds of our total outlay on one player. I was listening to the comments made last night after the PSG v Man City game. PSG had paid 70 million euro's for a 19 year old and most of the rest of the squad were 40 or 50 million euro's. Maybe after a season or two in the Premier League we would be up to the 30 or 40 million for a player but due to fair play rules and the need to take into account the possibility of getting demoted the emphasis seems to be on whether a player can add to their value and consequently be sold if need be.
