It's time for a European super league 16:57 - Jan 25 with 1017 viewsnoggin

I don't see how else the Premier League can continue in it's current form. This Ipswich side would win the Championship (imho) but we can't compete at the next level.

Poll: If KM goes now, will you applaud him when he returns with his new club?

Maybe, but would we want to play the likes of Barcelona every week?

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Forest scored 32 points from 38 games last season.

Poll: Who do you blame for our failure to progress?

Forest are third. Bournemouth are sixth.

What on earth are you talking about?

If we stay up this season there’s nothing to suggest we can’t do what they’ve done in the next five years.

Even if we go down in Bournemouth’s case.

Why? It wouldn't really fix anything. It would just turn the Premier League into the Championship. Yes, that may make the league more entertaining but it would end up financially screwing over even more clubs. The Premier League would not have the international pull it currently has and would pull in less revenue. That would have a knock-on effect to the EFL and to grassroots football too.

Most top leagues have a few "Super clubs" in them that are fighting for the title most seasons and the rest have to make do with feeding on the scraps. It's nothing new, it's just moved on a few levels since we were last here due to the size the Premier League has grown to since then. If you want to play at the top table it's what you have to put up with. If we manage to stay up for a few years then we can look to kick on and move up to the group fighting for Europe, then who knows. We have a good structure in place and that's the best chance a club our size can have of moving on up.
