Swapping keepers after today is a bit like missing a 3 foot putt on the 18th green and then buying a new driver.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Whoever we pick, we need to settle on.

Chopping and changing the keeper is not healthy and makes the cohesive understanding between them and the rest of the team (especially defence) much harder.

Getting the goalkeeper absolutely spot on is so vital, as we found to our cost 2001-02.

As much as our keeper choices weren't optimal 2001-02 we wouldn't have stayed up with Wright in goal either.

I've said it several times before but let's repeat, goalie is the last line of defence, you don't build a team around expecting your goalie to save everything, there are 10 other players on the pitch who can and should be influencing the game so the ball never ends up forcing the goalie to keep making saves.
