Worth bidding?? Especially bearing in mind he hasn't played much and his valuation has probably gone down.

Hes done nothing for two years, and can't get in Brightons team.

Youre back to buying potential. £25m is a full price.

I’d be stunned if he left for that price.

Still seems that a loan deal is the likelihood for him.

Sorry, what is your point here?

Trailing vapour since 1999.

Another player who is rarely fit and will he ever be so I'm cautious this may not be right for us.

There was a chat about Ferguson on Newstalk last week. From an Irish perspective really need him getting game time but appears to be constantly injured. Might be wrong but they said he was carrying yet another knock perhaps ankle?

Serious talent but a) we can't afford to spend time yet again rehabbing another player and b) in general multiple injuries do take there toll. I'd love him here fit and firing

Would love it, but suspect that knocked down fee is still northwards of £40 mill.

He has scored 1 goal in 14 and offers flying about between 40-60m.

Delap has 8 goals in 23 starts, so he must be worth 80-120m?

The whole thing is bonkers. If I am totally honest, I would rather be in the lower leagues decent pint, no arsing about with tickets, no VAR, decent day out and we score goals and it is just proper football people who are dedicated to ITFC.

I have tried to get into the premier league, given it half a season and it's kind of boring...

Unfortunately I do kind of agree with this. The Prem has changed beyond recognition in the last 20 years. Would it be/feel different if we consolidated here for a few years. Maybe. But the points that you alluded to in your third para all ring true with me.

He will never go for £40m+.

If they had sold him last season maybe towards that. But he's gone backwards. He isn't starting games for Brighton even when fit, so Brighton's mgr it seems doesn't think he is capable. If Delap was in the Brighton squad he would be starting regularly. So as you say if Ferguson is worth £40m+ then Delap must be worth £80m+
