Bringing in a keeper is the right thing to do 12:21 - Feb 3 with 4850 viewstextbackup

But we have a situation now where Muric knows he’s probably done here, Slicker thinking he doesn’t have a hope, and Walton still neither the number 1 or number 2.

Can’t help but think this could have been dealt with far better.

The one position you want a bit of stability in ffs.

Turned into a bit of a mess now and it could cost us.

Not getting that signing right in the summer was the big cost

It was an odd situation with Hladky to start with really, not that I think he was PL class in all honesty

We will always struggle to find a keeper better at playing out than him imho

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Hladky played as an outfield player before being a keeper, so he is the rare breed that is comfortable with his feet although his catching and positioning were sometimes questionable. It is very hard to find another. Definitely suited out style of play, although we would never know how he would perform in the Prem facing much more clinical, faster and stronger forwards.

For consistency, maybe giving him the deal he wanted, keeping him here, might not have been an awful idea.
