How many of those are old boys paid a few bob on a part time basis to watch park football though? It sounds a dramatic figure for the press to use but I used to bump into a Town scout walking his dog here in Nottingham every now and again. He wasn't 'on the payroll' and I wonder how many there were in other parts of the country. For a club like Utd with a global network established over half a century or more, it's probably not that extraordinary. |  |
