I saw something on FB which suggested it. His wikipedia page keeps going from referring to him in past and present tense.

I don't get the greatest of vibes about this but Rick Buckler does seem an odd target for a hoax death report.

Very sad if indeed true. Here's hoping it isn't.

Mate of mine just text me so I googled it and got the dreaded “Rick Buckler was a drummer….”

I had a chat with him in The Railway on Foxhall Rd. I asked him to tell Paul Weller he’s a c’nt if he saw him.

He replied “I don’t think I need to”

Nothing confirmed anywhere other than he's postponed his spoken word tour.
Hope this is just a misheard rumour that's got out of hand.

....one of the times I bumped into him was when I was in Soho on the way to see "From The Jam".

He told me "They are a pair of tw@ts, and you're a tw@t for paying to see them".

That's very sad.

The Jam were an important part of my late teens and early twenties, although I went off them a bit with Sound Effects.

I saw them in 1978, 1980 and 1982 (at one of their farewell concerts at Wembley Arena).

Sad to see this.

Although in my teens I absolutely hated Paul Weller,as I was always a Ozzy,Lemmy and Bon Scott sort of chap.

But as I’ve gotten older my musical taste has changed and now if it’s nice I listen to it and like it whoever’s band it is.

But I still don’t like Paul Weller.
