Aside from the result 18:12 - Feb 22 with 1157 views | Garv | And how we played etc etc... How Tim Robinson managed that game, along with the almost constant cheating, diving and feigning injury (mainly them but also us) , really has me depressed after that game. Within about 30 seconds during stoppage time we saw Porro (I think) take a hand to the face and feign injury trying to buy a foul and then jump straight up, and then Broadhead dive to try and win a penalty (after a lovely bit of skill). Those incidents along with the ridiculously stop-start nature of the game which was completely the fault of the referee, almost tells the story of the premier league. Both should have seen yellow cards. Some won't like me calling out one of our own players for cheating, and if I watch it back and realise I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up. But if you can't call it out when it's one of your own players we don't have much of a leg to stand on when someone does it against us. It almost felt ironic that the referee stopped the game after that for VAR to check the penalty, another stain on the game IMO. On the game itself, probably not much to say than will have been said already. Amazing start, first 5 minutes was worth the ticket price alone, but we just have to score one of those chances to stand a chance of getting a result. They get two half chances and score them both. Bit like KDB and Foden a few weeks ago, too quick and too clinical. Incredibly tough ask now. Wouldn't like to see our odds for survival. Can't fault our effort, we're just not good enough.

As for the penalty call I think O'Shea probably felt empowered to make that challenge as he'd seen one just like it on Hutchinson a few minutes earlier which the ref had let go.

He didn’t make the right call though, the right call would be to book Porro for feigning injury.

We already knew the ref was a nob and even though he didn't have a say on the final result it was a chore watching him prat about. Wants to be the centre of attention all the time.

Oddly...the one who isn't lightweight is the smallest on the pitch.

Tbh at that stage of the game with the ref as rubbish as he was, I wouldn't give a xxxx if he dived at all. We always complain the other teams employ the dark arts, I've got no issue if we use them too. Of course the ref has to be consistent, and this one wasn't

Broadhead got a full set of studs through his shin. Hardly a dive.
