Yep. We’ll lose… on 12:47 - Mar 14 with 1059 views | Bloots | …probably narrowly, but another loss nonetheless. We’ll probably blame the ref, Wolves will put away Soton with relative ease and we’ll be 9 points (plus GD) adrift. Goodnight Vienna.

The recent script does seem to be us playing well for about first 8 minutes, miss a couple chances, concede to the opposition’s first shot on target, huff and puff rest of game to little to no effect. It’s all been rather miserable. And yet I sit here thinking maybe we’ll win 6 of our last 10 games and stay up.

Good post Illy First thoughts on the season is that its been a bit of a different experience for those who are lucky enough to get to away games and those who it’s home only. We’ve had better performances away, one more win, and crucially the away end atmospheres have been consistently excellent. I can’t imagine this season without Spurs, Wolves, and Brentford/Fulham away. Miserable. Think there’s been a number of modes of games: 1. Well beaten - Newcastle and Man City at home 2. Opposition has sat deeper and we have failed to turn up - Palace and Everton home, Man U away 3. Matched good quality opposition in end to end games - Fulham/Villa home, Fulham away, z Chelsea home 4. Been really solid defensively - with varying quality on break - Spurs away, Brighton away, Brentford away, Arsenal away 5. Played well but come out the wrong side of margins - Man U home, Leicester home, Bournemouth (well first half) 6. Started games well but failed to bring real threat and then shipped goals and dropped off - spurs home, 7. Started and maintained strong performance but lacked enough attack, lost game late on - Forest and Palace away But I think where McKenna is coming from is that yes disappointment with 1, 2, 6 - but overall we’ve been in games, we’ve given a good account of ourselves, but we’ve come out wrong side of margins - or crucially we’ve lacked player quality do bridge the gap.

I try and remain philosophical....weve done back to back promotions, its been too much this season...i think and hope we have a very decent championship squad to get us back up and then do a Brentford/brighton

We're not 'bad' I agree, but we are lacking the edge required to push the margins in our favour. That's bee the problem all season. Those games where it is close but we can't seal the deal, other than the three glorious times. All of which seem a long time ago now!

Problem being and stating the obvious being the wrong side of small margins and being in games doesn’t keep you up There’s no question ref the effort we’ve just not been good enough for a number of reasons including finances , the speed at which we found ourselves in this league , somewhat questionable recruitment etc Let’s just make sure we bounce back next season and learn from this for a next venture in the top flight I say

2 goals is pushing our limit in a premiership per game, But we've done it, we get in good positions has to come off at some point,
